Surviving Trauma

WARNING: This series will contain themes of molestation and sexual violence (which are also resolved in a healthy manner).

It is my belief that life is a gift that should be fully embraced, both the good and the bad. While the benefits and good experiences make life worth living, we are also informed and shaped by the bad we encounter. Some of this "bad" shows itself as trauma - a theme I have wished to explore in the context of relationships.

This series focuses on several characters and their resolutions with their Traumas. Will they hold on to the trauma, will they let it go completely, or will they work through it?

We shall soon see!

Sea Fountain

Glen is enjoying his adult life. The new experiences, responsibilities, and the continued sexual relationship with, of all things, a Catholic nun. The very same Catholic nun that molested him when he was a child.

Religion aside, Glen finds nothing wrong with this continued relationship - but with adulthood comes understanding. The innocence of childhood is gone, and it is now time for Glen to come to terms with new revelations.

Running Away From the Farm

Rural Latino farmer Daniel been running for what seems like forever in the face of an unrelenting opponent: himself.

Yet has he been running away from his trauma, or has he instead been running towards something else entirely? Who is he without his trauma? What kind of person is he? Is that what defines him, or is he something else?

If he is his trauma, how does that affect how others see him? How does that affect his relationships? If he is not his trauma, and in fact separate from it, does he even know what that looks like?

Praise for the Surviving Trauma Series:
